För 6 000 år sedan är två världar på kollisionskurs. Som de första bönderna någonsin anländer den 19-åriga kvinnan Aathi med sin familj till södra Skandinavien, idag kallat Danmark. Efter ett ödesdigert möte med en lokal jägarstam dödas hela familjen, förutom Aathi och hennes yngre bror Tharan.
