Långt borta och ensam för första gången i sitt liv träffar Mummel på ett annorlunda gäng pingviner. Ledda av Ramon omfamnar de genast Mummels coola danssteg och välkomnar honom till gruppen. Med hjälp av gänget och gurun Manfred, en galen klipphoppande pingvin som besvarar alla livsfrågor till priset av en småsten, beger han sig på en resa genom karga landskap. Under resan och alla äventyr lär sig Mummel till slut att vara sig själv. Och att hans sanna jag inte bara duger, men kan även göra en stor skillnad.
